Jen and Mark became interested in beekeeping after watching a powerful documentary film called " Vanishing of the Bees".  They took their interest seriously and decided to take a class and research honey bees before they made the commitment to their first hive.  They started with just one hive, which quickly turned into an unexpected passion. Honey bees are such fascinating and necessary creatures.  There is nothing quite like the meditative and calming hum that a hive provides while working the bees. Several years later they now have many hives in different locations that they tend to.  They continue their bee education through constant reading, mentorships, and a local bee club.

Jen is a passionate beekeeper who loves spending time checking and maintaining the bee hives.  When she isn't loving on her bees she is spending time with Mark, her two children and her labrador retriever.  Jen is a photographer and lover of nature.  She is also interested in healthy living and maintains an active lifestyle.  

Mark is an enthusiastic beekeeper, husband and father.  When he is isn't helping Jen with the bees he can be found at work, spending time with his family, or working in the yard.  Mark is an avid gardner, lover of nature and a sports fanatic.
